Eagle Sales of the Black Hills
Rapid City, South Dakota
The regional Anheuser-Busch distributorship had outgrown their existing facility in Rapid City SD and decided to relocate and expand. Eagle Sales hired Upper Deck Architects to design their new distribution and office facility. The new 57,000 sq. ft. precast concrete facility contains first-class office space including a community room, outdoor patio, and an educational brew room. Black Hills slate was utilized throughout the interior and exterior of the building. The office space connects directly with drive-through loading bays, driver support areas, refrigerated beverage storage, and training facilities. The commercial building was constructed with 30 foot tall insulated concrete panels, cast on the site, and then tilted up into place. The panels make for a very efficient building shell. This massive shell keeps the 35,000 sq. ft. of cooler space running efficiently as workers move product in and out of eight overhead doors, five of which are high speed. The building gives Eagle Sales the room it needs to operate their growing business.
*The building was master planned for expansion in both the warehouse and administrative areas.
